Sunnah of eating

• Sit and eat on the floor.
• Spread out a cloth on the floor before eating.
• Wash both hands up to the wrists.
• Recite "Bismillah Wala Brakatillah" aloud.
• Eat with the right hand.
• If a morsel of food falls down, pick it up, clean it and eat it.
• Do not eat while leaning.
• Do not find fault with the food.
• Remove your shoes before eating.
• When eating, sit with either both knees on the ground or one knee raised or both knees raised.
• Clean the plate and other utensils after eating. By doing this, the utensils makes Dua for one's forgiveness.
• Recite the Dua after eating.
• After meals, wash both the hands.
• After meals, gargle the mouth.
• While eating, one should not remain completely silent.
• Eat with three fingers if possible.
• One should not eat very hot food.
• Do not blow on the food.
• After eating, one should lick his fingers.

Sunnah of Drinking

• A Muslim should drink with the right hand.
• Sit and drink.
• Recite "Bismillah" before drinking.
• Recite "Alhamdulillah" after drinking.
• Drink in three breaths, removing the utensil from the mouth after each sip.
• Do not drink directly from the jug or bottle. One should pour the water into the glass first and then drink.

Sunnah of Sleeping

• Do wuzu before going to sleep.
• To make the bed yourself.
• Dust the bed three times before going to sleep.
• One should change to some other clothes before going to sleep.
• It is Sunnah to sleep immediately after Isha prayer.
• To brush the teeth with Miswaak.
• To sleep on the right hand side.
• Keep the kneed slightly bent while sleeping.
• To sleep on the bed or floor are both Sunnah.
• Sleep in the direction facing Qiblah.
• To recite Surah Mulk before sleeping.
• Recite Tasbeeh e Fatimi before sleeping.

Sunnah of Awakening

• On awakening, rub the face and eyes with the palms of the hands in order to remove the effects of sleeping.
• When the eyes open in the morning, say "Alhamdullilah" three times.
• On Awakening, cleanse the mouth with Miswaak.

Sunnah of Wearing Clothes

• Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to love white clothes.
• When putting on any clothes, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) always begin with the right limb.
• When removing any garment, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to begin with the left limb.
• When putting on shoes, first put the right shoe then the left.
• When removing shoes, first remove the left shoe then the right.

Sunnah of Toilet

• Enter the toilet with shoes.
• Enter with the left foot.
• To sit and urinate. One should never urinate while standing.
• To leave the toilet with the right foot.
• One should not face or show his back towards the Qibla while urinating.
• Don't speak in the toilet.
• Be very careful of the splashes of urine.
• After urinating, one should cleanse him/her self using water.

Sunnah of Home

• Recite the Dua before entering the home
بِسْÙ…ِ اللهِ ÙˆَÙ„َجْÙ†َا، Ùˆَ بِسْÙ…ِ اللهِ Ø®َرَجْÙ†َا، ÙˆَعَÙ„َÙ‰ رَبِّÙ†َا تَÙˆَÙƒَّÙ„ْÙ†َا
• To greet those that are in the house with Assalaamu alaykum.
• To announce one's arrival by coughing, greeting etc even though it may be your own house.
• Recite the Dua while leaving the home
بِسْÙ…ِ اللهِ ، تَÙˆَÙƒَّÙ„ْتُ عَÙ„َÙ‰ اللهِ Ùˆَلاَ Ø­َÙˆْÙ„َ Ùˆَلاَ Ù‚ُÙˆَّØ©َ Ø¥ِلاّ بِالله

Miscellaneous Sunnah

• Using a Miswaak is a great sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). One who makes Miswaak when making Wuzu and thereafter offers salah will receive 70 times morereward. It will also enable one to recite kalimah at the time of death.
• To have a bath on a Friday.
• To apply Itr (for men only).
• To show mercy to those who are younger than you.
• To respect your elders.
• It is sunnah to ponder over Allah (swt) and his creation.
• For men to keep a beard, that is one fist in length.
• To visit a Muslim when he is sick.
• To be good toward one's neighbor.
•To meet a Muslim with the cheerful face.
• To care for the poor and needy.
• To keep good relations with all your relatives.
•To honor a guest even though he may not be of a very high position.
•To greet all the Muslims by saying As-Salam-u-Alaikum wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh.
• To keep the gaze on the ground while walking.
• To speak softly and politely with others.
• To command people to do good deeds.
• To forbid others from doing sins.
• To carry one's shoes in the left hand.
• To make wuzu, before going to masjid.
• To enter the masjid with the right foot.
• To leave the masjid with the left foot.
• To recite Quran shareef daily.
• To be hospitable towards one's guest.
• To exchange gifts with one another.
• To make Dua to Allah (swt) for the fulfilment of one's needs in any language one desire.
• To consult with one's parents, teachers, or elders before doing any work.
• To respect one's parents.
