1. Why does the newborn baby cry when it is born ?

2. Why does bees make honey ?

Bees do not think of dessert-lovers when they make honey but only of their own larvae. Making honey enables them to feed the larvae. In winter, when there are no more flowers from which to gather pollen, the alveoli in the hive, filled with honey, serve as food reserves for the entire hive.

3. Why do ants walk in a line ?

4. How is the black hair surrounding the panda's eyes useful ?

The panda's eyes are very sensitive and as the panda often lives in the snow, its black hair protects it from the brightness. In fact, the black absorbs the light; it filters the sun's rays that reflect on the snow and that could spoil its sight. It's a bit as though the panda were wearing sunglasses throughout the year.

5. Why do we yawn ?

Yawning is our body's reflex to fight against tiredness and hunger. When we yawn, our lungs inhale a great quantity of air which stimulates our brain and regulates the oxygen level in the blood. This refuels us for a few moments and keeps our brain alert.

6. From where do Tears come ?

Tears are produced by the 'lachrymal' glands located above the eyes. Thanks to them, our eyes remain constantly moistened to clean out dust particles. When we are sad or in pain, the brain triggers an intense production of tears; the lachrymal glands overflow and we cry.
