POCO F3 : Review of an excellent mid-ranger |
POCO F3 is Xiaomi's newest mid-ranger comes in around 28k-35k Indian rupees. The hardware in this device is really good for the price and you are not going to find any competitors in the present market that can hit this kind of price point for the specifications present in this device. If you are a performance demanding person, but you don't want to spend a crazy amount of money on a smartphone, this is the device for you.
Let's start with the screen, POCO F3 has an amazing screen for the money probably the best screen you are gonna see at this price point. It comes with a 1080p, 120 Hz 1200 nits bright display (same display panel used in mi 11). The speakers are stereo in this device, but the upper one (earpiece one) is little bit quieter than the bottom one. The finger print sensor in this device is side mounted with a new convex shape design which fast to unlock. The frame of this device is plastic and the back panel is glass which is very reflective and has shiny finish. There is not headphone jack in this device nor there a SD-slot in the sim card tray.
let's talk about the performance now. The processor in this device is nearly top of the line. POCO F3 comes with a Snapdragon 870 which is like a boosted Snapdragon 865+, so this mid-ranger phone can out perform many previous flagship devices. The performance in this device is very good, it is not as good as Snapdragon 888 but you will see great frame rates in high spec required games.
The battery in this device is 4500 mAh so you can expect a quite decent screen on time on this device. Also, this smartphone supports 33W fast charging so you can juice things up in just under an hour but you don't get wireless charging.
Now, let's talk about the camera. The POCO F3 comes with a triple camera setup module (48 MP (wide) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 5 MP (macro)). At this kind of price point, you never get a great camera system but POCO F3 comes with a camera system with very decent image quality. In terms of video, you can shoot in up to 4k at 30 fps and software stabilization is pretty good on this device.
