As you get older, of course you learn more and more lessons but at one stage you get to your 30's or 40's and you think, I really wish that I learned these lessons earlier, and that's what today's topic is all about. we wanna make sure that doesn't happen to you. So, today we have 5 lessons that people learn way too late in life and we want to make sure that you learn them right now. The first one is :
- Comfort:
Comfort is the worst addiction in the world and what it means is that if you get complacent or if you get comfortable, you end up not growing. You really don't go anywhere else and you stay right below from others. Your dream life is always outside of that comfort zone because when you think of your dream life, you have to keep growing, keep evolving and changing. When a person get complacent, you don't go anywhere, you stop growing and you even digress sometimes because when you stop growing, people around you continue to grow, so you digress. Comfort is so addicting because it feels so nice to sit at home and watch Netflix and not doing anything else, but be careful because it is the worst addiction in the world and your dream life is right outside the comfort zone.
- Health Is Everything:
Health is everything, because without it there is no life. If you are not healthy you can't go out with your friends because you are not well, you can't play your favorite sport whether it is football, basketball or any physical activity demanding sport. If you are unhealthy, you won't have the energy to live your life to the fullest. Just think about it, when you are sick at home, what do you do ?, you don't do anything, you stay at home and you do everything in your power to get better. You go to extremes to get better like you take ginger shots and medicine that tastes like garbage, just so you can be healthy again. That's how much we want and need to be healthy.
- The Value Of Time:
Now the third thing that people learn way too late in life is the value of time. Money has progressively increasing utility which means "the more you have it, the more you want it". The lesson here is not that the money doesn't add value to your life later on, the lesson is time will always hold value. Time is way more valuable that money. Time with your friends, with your family, with your loved ones, time doing your favorite things which actually becomes more valuable as life goes on.
- Self Improvement:
The next lesson that you should make sure to learn as soon as possible is that you have to improve yourself to improve your relationships. A lot of people look at their relationships, friendships and they think this person is doing something wrong, they got to change, I don't agree with that, they need to get better and they are very quick to point fingers. But you actually have to look at yourself and improve. All of us have so much improving to do, it really does help you to become a better person. So spend time doing some self development, learning more about yourself and becoming better in all these different subjects because that way your relationships will also improve.
- Don't Over DO It:
The one more lesson for you guys is that life is too short to slave away for five days and have two days off and that's most people's lives right now. When you work for yourself, hustling everyday will get you pretty tired, you gonna be exhausted and you won't be able to pursue your dreams outside of your career. So be careful with that hustler mentality because you might actually just waste your life away and not really enjoy it.
